The Parks and Recreation Board is made up of a minimum of 5 members with a maximum of 7 members, who shall be qualified electors of the City except that two members may be qualified electors of the Gilbert School District who are not qualified electors of any other City. Board members serve overlapping terms of 3 years each without compensation.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Park Board
Review planning and improvement changes to the City park program.
Develop and operate, subject to approval of the Council, recreation programs and activities for the benefit of the City.
