Frank Rydl moved to Gilbert in 2002 with his wife Sherri. They have two daughters, Rachel attends Gilbert High School and Rebecca attends Iowa State University. Frank grew up on a small crops and livestock farm near Anita in Southwest Iowa. Growing up, Frank was active in football, wrestling, track, speech, 4-H, and FFA. Completing high school during the height of the 80’s farm crisis, the only option to pursue a career in agriculture was to attend college, so Iowa State University was the destination. He graduated from Iowa State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Studies and currently works as a Business Development Consultant at DuPont.
Frank is active in his community, having served on the Gilbert Planning and Zoning Board, Gilbert Education Foundation, Gilbert Fire Board and spends free time volunteering for youth sports, school and community organizations. Frank is an avid wood worker and has a passion for BBQ.
